Since 1993, J. Alden has had the pleasure of outfitting many clients from the Connecticut and Rhode Island shoreline. Our purpose is to make every man that enters our store look the best they possibly can for any setting, be it a professional, social, or wedding occasion.

We pride ourselves on getting to know each and every client personally and giving them the best measure of attention possible, all with the confines of a small store setting. Listed below are the services we offer.
Alterations & Tailoring
We are experienced in fitting and use well-qualified local area tailors and seamstresses. Our turn-around is generally 4-7 days, but we can accommodate emergencies if given 18-24 hours notice. And yes, we do take outside alterations on customer’s clothing.
Shoe Repair & Reconditioning
We take footwear for repair or reconditioning depending upon our customer’s needs. Estimates are always available upon request. All repairs are handled by a qualified local cobbler.
Volume Discounting
We are pleased to discuss special volume discount programs for businesses, wedding parties or local non-profit organizations. Give us a call to discuss how we may help your event.​
